What’s the hardest part about change? There are a lot of tools out there and a lot of money spent on personal improvement. Its funny how we WANT things to change, to be better. However, change in and of itself is something almost all of us resist!

So, what is the hardest part about change?  I think it’s the first step! Getting started! There is fear of the unknown. You wonder whether you can do it or not. You don’t want to be embarrassed by trying something and failing. Maybe its something really big and the whole idea overwhelms you. Or maybe if we’re honest, we’re lazy, complacent. Want something but aren’t really serious about doing what it takes to get it.

So, my encouragement today is to first be sure you want it. And how badly do you want what change is going to deliver? Serious enough about something and you’re going to take that first step.

My other encouragement is to trust, have faith. Live by believing not just seeing. So maybe that business you always wanted to start seems impossible. You don’t have the right amount of money to start it, you don’t know the right people, you didn’t get that business degree that you should have done. These are the things you ‘see’, but again trust in God if you feel its your calling or He’s directing you there. Then look for the doors He IS opening. Help a friend if they are a business owner so you get a feel for what it takes and pick up some tips on what to do. Look for some seminars or webinars that you could take on business, or maybe even a class at the local community college on entrepreneurism. If its God’s calling and dream for you, it cannot be stopped. Well, it CAN but only by you and not trusting in Him. [scripture 2 Corinthians 5:7; Isaiah 30:21]
